Der Elternbeirat der Kindertagesstätte „Flohzirkus“ trifft sich spätabends, um die alljährliche Weihnachtsfeier zu planen. Helikoptervater trifft auf Tauchermutter, Alleinerziehende prallt auf Vorzeigemami. Nach zähen Verhandlungen fällt dem Grüppchen auf, dass der Gemeinschaftsgoldfisch mit dem Bauch nach oben in seinem Glas dümpelt. Wie soll man das nur den Kindern beibringen? Soll man das Tier bestatten oder einfach sang- und klanglos das Klo runterspülen? Kommt so ein Fisch in den Himmel, wie Oma Erna, oder wird es gar wiedergeboren? In der gottgegebenen Sicherheit, dass jedes Elternteil für sich den perfekten Erziehungsstil praktiziert und zielgenau den optimalen Menschen heranzieht, zerlegen sich die Anwesenden wie einen Legoturm in der Bauecke.
